Bronze figurine

Figurine of stylized stag with high antlers. Said to be from Talish, Northwestern Iran. Groups of small bronze stags and bulls have been found in tombs where they appear to have been hung from men's belts. Their exact meaning is unknown, but it is likely that they were gifts to the dead.
