Bell-shaped beaker

This small bell-shaped beaker is fashioned of a light redware clay fabric. It has a pointed knob base with convex sides that end with a flaring straight rim. There are some thin white incrustations on the interior surface, possibly salt efflorescence.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 10 (tomb of Amani-natake-lebte), SE foundation deposit. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 25, 2006)
