Beads

Twelve barrel beads of red carnelian and fragments of another. Three have been bored straight through from one side, nine (including 2 largest) bored from both sides - apparently one bored from one side as far as possible and then if hole went crooked, bored in from other side.

From Beg. West 609. 1923: Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
