Beads

Twelve bottle or seed pod beads. In light blue, dark blue and turquoise. In the accession photograph these were strung together with several other beads. This was unstrung and some of these beads were incorporated into collar 65.1723 now in EV case 3. See 03.1618 to 03.1623.

Provenance

Said to be from Haggi Qandil. 1903: purchased for the MFA in Qena, Egypt from Ghirgas by Albert M. Lythgoe as part of a group (03.1561-03.1564, 3.1617-03.1623, E.M.116-E.M.122) for £11. Acquired with funds from the Emily Esther Sears Fund. (Accession Date: January 1, 1903)
