The Memphite god Nefertum was associated with the myth of creation, in which the newborn sun god emerged from a blue lotus. Nefertum is shown in human form wearing a short kilt, lappet wig amf headdress in the form of a lotus. Only the headdress of this pale green faience amulet has survived.
