Amulet of Hathor or Isis

This amulet of faded green glazed faience portrays a full-length, standing figure of a goddess, either Hathor or Isis, wearing a headdress of horns and a solar disk. There is a ring for suspension on the back of the head.

Provenance

From Meroe (Beg. W), tomb 787. 1923: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
