box is engraved, possibly later, on back "Benjamin Goldthwait to his sweetheart Hannah Dawes A.D. 1792-3"; this is in reference to Benjamin Goldthwait and Hannah Dawes of Boston, who were married October 8, 1793; 1913, gift of Miss E.P. Holland, who gave several small articles related to Hannah Dawes (Accession Date May 1, 1913).
