Tablespoon having an elliptical bowl with rounded, upturned handle with midrib. Long, faint rattail on back of bowl is surmounted by flattened drop.

Inscription

Engraved "D * A" in shaded roman letters on back of handle near tip. The term "19L" is incised in a modern hand above initials, facing away from bowl.

Marks

On back of handle above bowl is faintly stamped "TA" in roman letters within a rectangle.

Provenance

Early history unknown; acquired from an unnamed source by silver collector, Dr. Arthur DuBois Brundidge.
