Buhler Entry: Bequeathed by Lydia Henchman Hancock (Mrs. Thomas) in 1777 to her husband's nephew John Hancock (see Dummer spout cup, Cat. no. 16). Bought by Benjamin Waldo Lamb at the sale in 1863 of John Hancock's possessions; his daughter, Rosanna Duncan Lamb, m. Joseph warren Revere (1812-1880), grandsaon of the patriot; her cousin, Horatio Appleton Lamb.
