Ship of the line

Start collecting

This dockyard model accurately reflects a framing technique found in actual ship construction. Frames were erected in pairs for strength, and the spacing between them provided hull flexibility and shock absorption. This framing also made the vessel lighter and provided ventilation, to retard rot.
