Seated figure

Start collecting

Abstract rendering of a seated human figure, probably carved from a celt form. Arms are bent at the elbows and hands rest on top of the bent knees. The very high polish and cleanly carved lines indicate a high level of craftsmanship and technical expertise.

Private collection, United States, by 197l; with Teochita, Inc., New York, by 1974; to Landon T. Clay, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1974; to MFA, December 1974, gift of Landon T. Clay.
