Said to have been acquired by the mother of the donor when the Enfield, New Hampshire, Shaker community closed in 1923; said to have been the work of Franklin Youngs, one of the last two Shaker residents in Enfield; by descent to the donor; gift of Mrs. Bradley Dewey, New London, New Hampshire (Accession Date Sept. 20, 1961)
