The octagonal bezel has a rectangular table cut emerald in the center, surrounded by four blister pearls, and open dendritic designs in gold at the four corners. Broad grooves adorn the band.

Marks

Marked "[heart] SHAW [heart]" on an applied rectangular section of gold that is soldered to inside of ring, beside emerald. A second, effaced mark can be discerned on the ring shank.

Provenance

With J. T. Coolidge, Jr. and others by 1913; to MFA July 17, 1913, purchased from the Society of Arts and Crafts for $85.
