Raptorial bird effigy pendant

Cast gold effigy pendant representing a raptorial bird, likely an eagle. The proper right end of the basal flange has broken away and the proper left end is broken and reattached. A vertical ring at back of the neck allows for suspension on a string.


Descended in the Coolidge Family, Massachusetts; to Catherine Coolidge Lastavica in 1958; to MFA, September 1979, gift of Catherine Coolidge Lastavica.
