Sixty-eight carvings of various animals in earth-red argillite are strung to form this necklace. The animals are birds, bear, buffalo, frogs, fish, and foxes, and their eyes are inlaid with black stone. The necklace section that rides on the back of the neck is bound with natural colored string.
