The pectoral is made entirely of silver and gold wires of different gages, joined by knitting and wrapping around base wires. It is in the shape of a large bird resting in the center of the chest, while the wings wrap backwards around the shoulders. A pearl accentuates the eye of the bird.
Made by the artist and retained in her personal collection until acquired by the Museum in 1996.
