Engraved on base in modern script "Edward Hutchinson /1678-1752)." The E is almost obliterated from handle at left below grip.

Provenance

Edward Hutchinson (1678-1752), m. Lydia Foster 1705; descended in the family by 1906 to Mrs. Estes Howe, mother of the donor.
