Miniature winged rocking chair with high back

Constructed from soldered silver, the rocking armchair has cut-out horizontal notched crescent shapes in the back and on each arm.

Inscription

“A J S,” overlapping one another as they descend within an oval, engraved on back of rocker.

Marks

“Stone,” with profile of chasing hammer stamped across St, and “STERLING / C” struck on underside of seat.
