Engraved brass plaque attached to the underside of the seat which reads: "Clapp or Bacon / Earl Clapp 1741-1836 / Bethiah Clapp (Bacon) 1778-1865 / Mary Helen Fowler (Weeks) 1823-1897 / John Wingate Weeks 1860-1926 / Sinclair Weeks 1893- ".

Provenance

Has a long history of family descent as documented in an engraved brass plaque attached to the underside of the seat which reads: "Clapp or Bacon / Earl Clapp 1741-1836 / Bethiah Clapp (Bacon) 1778-1865 / Mary Helen Fowler (Weeks) 1823-1897 / John Wingate Weeks 1860-1926 / Sinclair Weeks 1893- ". Sinclair Weeks died in 1972; by descent in the family; 1988, gift of Frances Weeks Lawrence in Memory of her Father, Sinclair Weeks (1893-1972) and his Forebears (Accession Date October 26, 1988).
