The urn's front is decorated with a scroll-eyed saurian creature or "xoc monster." From its open maw emerges a zoomorphic jaguar with extended forepaws. Vertical flanges at each side of the urn have been restored in modern times. See 1988.1295a for the lid of this cache vessel.
