Barnard, great-granddaughter of the sitter; by 1930, by descent to her daughter, Miss Sarah L. Barnard, Boston; by 1949, by descent to her cousin, Miss Elizabeth L. Dalton, Boston; 1950, with Edmund Bury, Philadelphia; 1951, sold by Elizabeth L. Dalton to the MFA for $500. (Accession Date: January 11, 1951)
