Solid, hand-modeled human head broken from a figurine. Eyes and eyebrows are created by deeply incised lines. The top of the head is cone-shaped. The head likely was made separately from the body, indicated by a finger-sized concavity at the base of (underneath) the head.
Margret Craver Withers collection (acquired in Mexico and Guatemala) by 1972; to MFA, November 1993, gift of Margret Craver Withers.
