Start collecting

"Samuel Russell," an early, 957-ton clipper ship, was built by Brown & Bell of New York for A. A. Low & Brother. Named after a New York merchant operating in China, the ship went to China soon after her construction; in 1870 she was wrecked on a reef, in Indonesia.
