Cast gold alloy pendant rendering a human male figure with bat or feline facial features (ears and mouth). His right arm and left leg are missing, having broken away at some point in antiquity. A small ring at back of his neck allows for suspension on a string.

Provenance

With Walter Channing Wyman, Chicago(?), by 1922; to MFA, February 1922, purchased as part of a group of 67 pieces for $5,000.
