Dressing table of walnut with mahogany banding, cabriole legs with shaped skirting and wooden drops; brasses not original, top replaced.


Two paper labels inscribed in ink: "Property of / Miss Mary / Crowninshield." Chalk inscription on left side of bottom right drawer of various numbers. On side of PR drawer, " [?] shield / Charles [?]"


Early history unknown; paper labels indicate it was owned later by Mary R. Crowninshield; presumably acquired by Miss Elizabeth H. Clark, who gave it in memory of Mary R. Crowninshield (Accession Date June 4, 1925)
