Double-headed animal effigy pendant

Cast gold, double-headed zoomorphic effigy pendant, the larger head characterized by a wide snout, the smaller head with a short snout. The legs below the larger head terminate as small suspension rings (the right proper one is broken).

Descended in the Coolidge Family, Massachusetts; to Catherine Coolidge Lastavica in 1958; lent to MFA January 25, 1983; to MFA, December 1985, gift of Catherine Coolidge Lastavica.
