Cylinder vase

The image of a standing monkey is modeled in low relief on the front of the cylinder vase. The surface is unslipped but relatively highly burnished. The vessel was unevenly fired in an exidation atmosphere, with a black fire-cloud surrounded by bright orange on the right side of the vase.
