With Alphonse Jax, New York, before April 14, 1975; sold to Landon Clay, April 14, 1975; loan to the MFA August 5, 1975, and given in 2001. The donor recalls that this object was part of a group of Spanish colonial silver acquired by him before 1968 from Ed Merrin on behalf of a dealer in Montevideo, Uruguay; placed on loan to the Museum on August 5, 1975, and given in 2001.
