Cup is a raised, plain, gourd-shaped vessel with flaring rim, flanked by two cast scrolled handles.

Inscription

In shaded roman letters, engraved "M : C : Plate." on base above center point.

Marks

Marked twice "IC" with an annulet between, over a fleur-de-lis, within a heart-shaped punch, once on base at center, and once on body between handles, below rim.
