Avian effigy pendant

Start collecting

Cast gold avian effigy with splayed tail and talons thrust forward (visible below the beak). The avian holds a small fish in its beak. A single ring at the back of neck allows for suspension. A modern armature has been attached to the back of the pendant for wearing as a lapel pin.

Descended in the Coolidge Family, Massachusetts; to Catherine Coolidge Lastavica in 1958; to MFA, September 1979, gift of Catherine Coolidge Lastavica.
